He wants to switch phones, he's had his for two years. Most people after two years are eligible of getting an upgrade in order to encourage you to sign a new contract, but not him, he's in a six year contract so he tells me. Yes, SIX years. He currently has an SCH-A870 and wants me to hack a Sprint Samsung M300 to work with his account. I figure it could could work, considering that Verizon has announced recently that they are "opening" their network to all phones that will work on it. I mean, Sprint uses CDMA and Verizon does as well, so it should work. Unless, they use slightly different frequnecies, then this is all futile. I ordered the data cable for it, it should be here in a few days (I didn't have this cable despite having every other cable). I'd really like to reflash the phone to the manufacturer's OS/UI so that it could be programmed for any CDMA network (so, I think). The thing is I can't seem to find any flash file or even a method on how to get into the service menu. I've never worked on a Sprint phone before, especially turning it into a Verizon phone. I tend to work mostly on Motorola phones, so Samsungs I guess would be a bit more challenging.
